Who can make a report of wrongdoing?

The Public Interest Disclosure Act (PIDA) applies to current and former employees of BC government ministries, Crown corporations, health authorities, the K-12 public school system, and a number of other public bodies. New public bodies will continue to be added in phases.

The government has announced that by 2025 PIDA will cover the broader public sector. Read the government announcement. Organizations currently covered under PIDA are listed below. The government will consider expanding coverage to additional public sector organizations in the future.
