Three separate three-hour virtual sessions are scheduled:

Thursday, March 6: 9:00am-12:00pm (Full)

Tuesday, March 11: 9:00am-12:00pm (Full)

We recognize that there is high demand for our Fairness in Practice workshop and we are working to increase the number of sessions provided. Thank you for your interest. Please check back for information on additional upcoming workshop dates. More sessions are anticipated for Spring 2025.

Post-Secondary Fairness in Practice workshop added

Due to popular demand, we’ve added another Fairness in Practice session for post-secondary institutions. This session is designed for post-secondary institution staff and faculty only.

Thursday, March 13: 9:00am-12:00pm. Register here

Please note: we have modified our six-hour Fairness in Practice workshops to create a new modified three-hour version. If you have already taken Fairness in Practice, this workshop will be repetitive.

The Fairness in Practice workshops offer training in administrative fairness to public sector employees and cover topics such as:

• What administrative fairness means in public service delivery
• How to follow a fair decision-making process
• How to make and communicate decisions fairly
• Service fairness essentials
• Complaint handling skills

What to Expect:

This training is offered virtually via Zoom and is interactive. We use Mentimeter, a participant engagement tool, which requires participants to open up a separate browser page on their computer or use of a smart phone. Instructions on how to use the tool will be given during the workshop.

Be ready to contribute your thoughts, engage in small group discussions, and have your cameras and microphones on during breakout rooms.

“The presenters and their practical insight and experience showed a depth of skill and knowledge.”
