Who can make a report of wrongdoing?
The Public Interest Disclosure Act (PIDA) applies to current and former employees of BC government ministries, Crown corporations, health authorities, the K-12 public school system, and a number of other public sector organizations.
Organizations currently covered under PIDA are listed below.
The government announced a phased rollout of PIDA to the broader public sector ending December 2024. Read the government announcement. The government will consider expanding coverage to additional public sector organizations in the future.
