How are you protected?
A current or former employee of an eligible BC public sector organization who seeks advice, reports wrongdoing, or cooperates with a Public Interest Disclosure investigation is legally protected from reprisal.

It is an offence to take, threaten to take, counsel, or direct reprisal against an employee.
To be protected, an employee must:
Seek advice from

A union or employee association representative

A lawyer

Their supervisor

Their Designated Officer

The Ombudsperson
Report the wrongdoing to:

Cooperate in an investigation
