How to Complain About Canada Pension Plan or Employment Insurance
The BC Ombudsperson does not have jurisdiction to investigate complaints about the Canada Pension Plan (CCP) or Employment Insurance (EI). For complaints about CCP pensions and benefits or EI, try contacting Service Canada or the Social Security Tribunal of Canada.
The Social Security Tribunal of Canada is an independent administrative tribunal which has the ability to evaluate appeals related to the Employment Insurance Act, the Canada Pension Plan, and the Old Age Security Act.
