Since 1979, the Office of the Ombudsperson has responded to individual complaints by applying the Ombudsperson Act to impartially determine whether a person may have been treated unfairly with respect to an act, omission, decision or procedure of a provincial public authority.

An independent statutory office of the provincial legislature, the Office of the Ombudsperson offers excellent benefit coverage, a healthy work/life balance and a diversity of work that is both challenging and meaningful. Our offices are in a centrally located modern building in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia.
