Who can make a report of wrongdoing?

The Public Interest Disclosure Act (PIDA) applies to current and former employees of BC government ministries, Crown corporations, health authorities, the K-12 public school system, and a number of other public sector organizations.

Organizations currently covered under PIDA are listed below.

The government will consider expanding coverage to additional public sector organizations in the future.

Provincial Government Ministries and Independent Offices of the Legislature

Crown Corporations, Agencies, Boards and Commissions and Tribunals

Public Health Organizations

Public School Districts

Post-Secondary Institutions
